Walk around Chitedze

 Some colleagues and I often take a walk at lunch

 Last week I was testing the camera in my new phone.

 

 Here is a fig tree so tall that I can't touch the bottom branches. 

 A couple of months ago it was full of boys eating the fruit.

 

This is a beautiful avenue of trees, from the road... 

or from across the peanut field.

Another research study

We are measuring the impact of our trees on maize yields.

I didn't know that Malawi white flint corn also has red ears.

Here is the corn storage, they store the whole ears in these.

Blossoms and puppy

On my way home from work, I saw a beautiful blooming tree.

but the trunk was full of thorns
